Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin has said that the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Forum will play an important role in strengthening bilateral trade relations and increasing economic cooperation.
He said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the “Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Forum” at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka today, Monday (April 28, 2025).
Sheikh Bashiruddin said, “This forum will serve as a platform to establish connections between business institutions and trade organizations of the two countries, expand trade and explore investment opportunities.” He also emphasized on increasing connections between the people of the two countries.
The Trade Advisor further said, “Although both Pakistan and Bangladesh are populous countries, the volume of trade between them is not as expected. Businessmen from both countries need to be more active to achieve the desired trade goals.”
He said that there are tariff and non-tariff barriers between the two countries, which need to be resolved rationally. He called for finding a solution through joint discussions.
