The armed forces are continuously working to improve the flood situation and continue to provide all kinds of assistance and services to the flood affected areas. The Bangladesh Armed Forces currently have 34 camps, 2,881 personnel, 100 boats and 10 helicopters deployed to deal with the flood situation, providing rescue, relief operations and medical services. Medical teams of armed forces have set up temporary camps at various places to provide emergency medical care and first aid, medicine and health care are being provided to flood affected people. As part of this, a total of 5,181 people have been provided medical assistance today through temporary medical teams comprising specialist doctors.

Also, in the last 24 hours (August 30, 2024), a total of 50 flood-affected persons were rescued by the armed forces, 41,953 packets of food items and 1,150 cooked meals were distributed among the flood victims. At this time, the armed forces conducted rescue and relief distribution activities in the flood-affected areas through 16 helicopter sorties.

It is to be noted that till now (30 August 2024) armed forces have rescued about 42,816 flood affected people, about 2,36,238 packets of food items and about 20,410 cooked food have been distributed among the flood victims and 23,570 people have been given medical care. provided.
