The 11th Asian Tourism Fair 2024 is starting in Dhaka to revive the tourism industry

The 11th Asian Tourism Fair 2024 is starting from September 19-21 in Dhaka to revive the tourism industry. This fair will be held for three days at International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. The fair will run from 10 am to 8 pm every day. The fair will be inaugurated on September 19 at 3 pm.
On the occasion of the 11th Asian Tourism Fair, the date of the fair was announced at a press conference held at the five-star hotel Intercontinental Dhaka on Tuesday (September 17).

It was informed in the press conference that the 11th Asian Tourism Fair 2024 is being held this year with the cooperation of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Tourist Police Bangladesh, under the overall direction of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, in the continuation of the previous year’s Tourism Bichitra.

About a hundred tourism organizations from Bangladesh, Maldives, China, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bhutan, Singapore will participate in this year’s fair. The fair will have various attractive travel offers, hotel, resort or package bookings including special discounts for traveling in the country and abroad during the upcoming tourism season. Among the organizations participating in the fair are hotels, motels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators and theme parks and many other entertainment establishments.

Apart from this, there will be tourism related seminars, drawing competition for children, Business to Business (BTUBI) meetings in the fair. Every evening of the fair there will be cultural programs from China, Philippines and Bangladesh. Through this fair, a complete picture of the tourism industry will be presented to the visitors.

The entry fee of the fair is Tk 30, against the entry coupon, the winners of the raffle draw will have attractive gift vouchers for traveling with airline tickets. This fair will be held at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital Dhaka. The fair will run from 10 am to 8 pm every day.

Mohiuddin Helal, editor of Tourism Bichitra and chairman of Asian Tourism Fair, said in the press conference that one of the objectives of organizing this fair is to make the tourist attractions of Bangladesh more popular among the people of the country and abroad and to build a bridge with the regional tourism industry in order to speed up the tourism industry.

He also said that Bangladesh with its natural beauty and diversity can be an attractive travel destination for domestic and foreign tourists. Tourism is a multidimensional industry. Tourism industry is an important and infinite potential medium considering priority for sustainable development of Bangladesh. For this, government and private initiatives and sincere efforts are needed.
