Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ahmed Azam Khan said that the main strength of state governance and development is efficient, competent and responsible administration. The role of government officials is very important in the progress of the country, establishing good governance and fulfilling the expectations of the people.
The minister said these things while exchanging post-Eid greetings with officials and employees at the conference room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Monday (June 1, 2026).
The minister said that the officials of the republic are the talented children of the country. They are fulfilling important responsibilities of the state after passing various competitive examinations including BCS. The state has developed them and the people have the highest expectations from them. Political leadership can give direction, but the administration carries out the main responsibility of running the state.
The minister also said that different countries of the world are moving forward rapidly through morality, efficiency and good governance. Bangladesh must also be taken forward on that path. We must come out of the culture of corruption, waste and irregularities and ensure proper use of state resources. It is possible to restore public trust by increasing the capacity of government and state-owned institutions and establishing accountability.
Ahmed Azam Khan expressed hope that the officials and employees of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will play an effective role in the development of the country and the implementation of the spirit of the Liberation War by performing their duties with dedication, honesty and professionalism.
