The much-awaited SL-MICE Expo 2025 is being held under the auspices of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB). This international event, organized in the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo from September 22 to 26, is designed to take the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector to new heights on the global map.
The expo will be a dynamic commercial platform for local and international MICE professionals, where they can showcase their products, services and innovative ideas. In addition, it will provide a unique opportunity for business expansion, networking and mutual cooperation.

Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe (M.P.) said, “The government has already identified the MICE sector in the country as a major economic driver of the tourism industry.” He added, “SL-MICE Expo 2025 will showcase the MICE potential of the central region of the country, especially to foreign MICE buyers and international media—this is a very commendable initiative.”

Sri Lanka Convention Bureau Chairman Dheera Hettiarachchi said, “We have invited MICE buyers and media representatives from major international markets including India, China, Pakistan, Germany, Russia, France, UK, Turkey, Spain, UAE, Bangladesh, Qatar, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries to participate in this event.”
He added, “We have already received applications from over 400 hosted buyers and media representatives from over 25 countries, out of which 100 hosted buyers and 15 media representatives will be selected.”
Through this event, Sri Lanka will not only showcase its tourism potential, but also establish itself as a strong partner in the global MICE industry.
