Sheraton Dhaka to host Boishakhi festival: Bengali and joy at “Borshoboron Mela”

Sheraton Dhaka is going to host a vibrant festival in the capital Dhaka to celebrate the Bengali New Year 1432. The day-long event titled “Borshoboron Mela” will be held on April 14, 2025, from 10 am to 6 pm, at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom (Level 12). The fair, which is fully air-conditioned and organized in a family-friendly environment, will be a joyful festival for people of all ages.

The Borshoboron Mela will feature diverse events—such as live music and traditional dance performances, a painting competition for children, musical chairs for women, and red light-green light games for men. There will also be circus and puppet shows, free face painting, fortune tellers, bioscopes, local food stalls, VR experiences, arcade games, and modern gaming events like PS5.

The entry fee for the fair is set at 1500 taka per person, which includes a food coupon. Entry is absolutely free for children under 5 years of age. In addition, participants will receive various types of free gifts and many other amazing gifts. Stalls of indigenous and contemporary handicrafts will be available at the fair, which will carry a unique identity of Bangaliana culture.
