Russian House in Dhaka organizes educational seminar on higher education opportunities in Russia

Russian House in Dhaka organized an educational seminar on higher education opportunities in the Russian Federation for Bangladeshi students under the Russian government’s quota program.

At the beginning of the event, the new director of the Russian House, Alexandra Khlevon, was introduced. The seminar was attended by alumni of various renowned universities in Russia, more than 100 local applicants, and Bangladeshi students currently studying in Russia, who joined the event online.

Participants were briefed on the process of selecting courses under the Russian government’s quota program and detailed information on submitting applications through the online platform https://education-in-russia.com.

Russia’s historical contribution to Bangladesh’s education sector was also highlighted — thousands of Bangladeshi students have received high-quality education at various universities in Russia through long-standing cooperation.

An important announcement was made at the seminar that a new free Russian language course will start at the Russian House from October 27, 2025, which will be conducted by an instructor from St. Petersburg State University.

It was also announced that 200 quotas have been set for Bangladeshi students for the 2026/2027 academic year, through which there will be opportunities to study at more than 400 Russian universities.

Applications will be accepted until January 15, 2026.
