Science and Technology Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been asked for three billion financial assistance. Everyone should be vigilant so that this money is not wasted. A lot of money has been wasted in the past. People’s money will not be allowed to go to waste anymore.

He said this in a meeting with the heads of various departments of the ministry in the conference room of the Ministry of Science and Technology at the secretariat on Thursday (September 5, 2024) morning.

Adviser to the heads of departments and organizations of the Ministry of Science and Technology said that the use of science and technology is very important in implementing the development activities of the country. Development will not be meaningful if the output (results) of scientific research are not useful.

He said that our country’s livestock and fish production has increased as a result of research and application of research. There has been a lot of improvement in this regard. Let the people feel that there is a ministry called science and technology. The work of the ministry is not finished with mere appearance. You have to prove it with your own work.
He also said, if your contribution to society or country fails, people will speak against it. It may not be very fast, but slowly, at least, the work needs to be changed. Must contribute.
Mentioning responsibility, not power, the advisor said, everyone’s co-operation (cooperation) will be needed. At this time, the advisor instructed to bring dynamism to the ongoing development of the Ministry of Science and Technology and to ensure transparency and accountability.
