A seminar titled ‘Productive Ramadan’ and Quran distribution program was held at Manarat International University. The seminar and Quran distribution program was held jointly with Al Quran Academy London at the seminar hall of the university’s permanent campus in Ashulia on Tuesday (4 March 2025) morning.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rab was present as the chief guest at the program. The program was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of School of Engineering, Science and Technology, and Sibgatullah, one of the organizers of the anti-discrimination student movement and head of the Heritage Foundation, was the special guest at the program.
Registrar Dr. Md. The seminar, which began with the welcome speech of Moazzam Hossain, was addressed by Dean of the School of Business and Economics, Md. Mahbub Alam.
Among others, Professor Ershadul Haque Chowdhury, Head of the Department of EEE, Professor Dr. Munira Ahsan, Advisor to the Department of Pharmacy, Rafiquzzaman, Head of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, Dr. Md. Abu Taleb, CGED’s attendant, and others were present.
Calling on everyone to unite in the education of the Quran at the seminar, the chief guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rab, said to the students, “The month of Ramadan is the month of the revelation of the Quran. Therefore, you should focus more on reciting, studying and researching the Quran in this month. Along with spreading its light among the people, you will also be engaged in the service of humanity.”
At the end of the seminar, Qurans were distributed to the students along with money with the help of Al Quran Academy London. Finally, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs of the July Revolution, including Shakil Hossain and Ahnaf Abir Ashrafullah, and for the recovery of the injured.
In addition, two separate stalls were set up in the campus premises in the name of Shaheed Shakil Hossain and Ahnaf Abir Ashrafullah to complete the Quran distribution program smoothly and efficiently.
