Prime Minister Tarique Rahman observed the removal of sacrificial animal waste on the spot

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman observed the removal of sacrificial animal waste in the capital on the spot. This Friday (29 May 2026) afternoon, he personally drove a car and inspected various roads and important areas of the capital and observed the progress of the cleaning activities.

During the inspection, the Honorable Prime Minister saw some garbage and garbage accumulated from the past lying on the roads in Hatirpool, Elephant Road, Green Road, Farmgate and Karwan Bazar areas along with sacrificial waste. Expressing dissatisfaction with this, he ordered immediate action to be taken.

On the instructions of the Prime Minister, Dhaka North City Corporation (Zone-5) Regional Executive Officer Md. Sadequr Rahman and Dhaka South City Corporation (Zone-1) Regional Executive Officer Kazi Saleh Mustanzi (Deputy Secretary) have been suspended with immediate effect. At the same time, instructions have been given to entrust them to the Ministry of Public Administration.

To keep the capital clean and reduce the health risks to citizens, the government has given utmost importance to the prompt removal of sacrificial waste.
