A delegation from the Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA), led by Chairman (Southern Zone) Abdul Rehman, paid a visit to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in Dhaka on Sunday (27 April, 2025).

The PHMA delegation held a meeting with BGMEA Administrator Anwar Hossain, members of the Support Committee and garment exporters to explore potential areas of collaboration that can drive development in the apparel and textile sectors of both countries.

During the meeting, BGMEA Administrator Anwar Hossain shared insights into Bangladesh’s strategic focus on producing more complex and value-added garments—particularly those made from man-made fibres—while prioritizing environmental sustainability and technological advancement.
Both associations emphasized that Bangladesh with its globally recognized ready-made garment (RMG) industry and Pakistan with its strong textile base could complement each other to propel mutual growth. They underscored the potential for knowledge exchange and industrial cooperation that can benefit both industries.
