A petrol bomb attack took place late at night at the Maona branch of Grameen Bank in Bartoba Bazar, Maona Union, Sreepur Upazila, Gazipur.
The unfortunate incident took place at around 2 am on Saturday (November 15, 2025). The bank security guard said that around 2 am, 7-8 people tried to open the main gate of the bank.
Suddenly, they ran away after hearing a loud noise. Then three petrol bombs exploded in quick succession. One of the bombs fell inside the boundary wall of the bank and some parts of the signboard outside the bank were burnt. However, there was no damage inside the building.
