NRB Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) and its local partner, DataAge Limited to enhance customer protection and banking services.
NRB Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) and its local partner, DataAge Limited to upgrade its core banking system. From now on, NRB Bank’s banking system will be upgraded to Oracle FlexCube UBS 14.8. NRB Bank has launched UBS 14.8 for the first time in Bangladesh, which is an important milestone in the bank’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its digital banking capabilities and modernize its technological infrastructure.
NRB Bank Managing Director Tarek Riaz Khan and DataAge Limited Chairman Nur Alam Chowdhury signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at a function held at the bank’s head office recently. Also present at the event were NRB Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md. Shaheen Howlader, Anwar Uddin and M Rashidul Huda, DataAge Limited Managing Director Asifuzzaman, Chief Business Officer Asim Talukder and OFSS representatives K Rajesh Kumar, Saujato Jain and Satish Krishnamurthy.
The upgraded platform is expected to improve customer service, enhance operational efficiency and ensure better compatibility with evolving banking technologies. It will further strengthen NRB Bank’s digital readiness and support its long-term growth ambitions in the increasingly competitive banking sector of Bangladesh.
