There is no security risk surrounding the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and the great Independence and National Day, said Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Ghani.
The Home Secretary made these remarks while briefing journalists after a preparatory meeting on overall law and order control and security measures on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr and the great Independence and National Day at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday (March 16, 2025) afternoon.
The Senior Secretary said that all-out preparations have been made to maintain law and order. The police are now in a strong position. He said that adequate measures have been taken for the safety of homebound passengers on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Law enforcement agencies are active to prevent theft, robbery, extortion, and robbery, and regular patrols are underway. Security measures have also been taken in shopping malls.
Nasimul Ghani said that necessary instructions have been given to the concerned parties to ensure that no labor unrest occurs on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. In addition, instructions have been given to the concerned parties to ensure that the salaries and allowances of the workers are paid on time before Eid.
The meeting, chaired by Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd), was attended by Md. Khoda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Principal Advisor on Home Affairs, IGP Baharul Alam and other concerned officials.
