The party’s convener Nahid Islam has condemned the attack on National Citizens Party (NCP) member secretary Akhtar Hossain, who was accompanying the interim government’s chief advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus in New York, and other political leaders and activists.
They were attacked outside John F. Kennedy International Airport at around 3 pm local time on Monday (September 22, 2025). Eggs were thrown at Akhtar. NCP joint convener Tasneem Zara was also assaulted.
