NCP convener Nahid announces new political alliance called ‘Democratic Reform Alliance’ comprising three parties

A new political alliance has emerged in the country ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The ‘Democratic Reform Alliance’ comprising the National Citizens Party (NCP), AB Party and the State Reform Movement was announced at a press conference held at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Sunday (December 7, 2025). National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam officially announced the new alliance.

He was accompanied by AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju and State Reform Movement leader Hasnat Qayyum at the time. Nahid Islam will serve as the spokesperson for the new alliance.
