Nahid Islam promises welfare-oriented politics for the development of Dhaka-11

The huge election rally of Md. Nahid Islam, the candidate of the eleven-party alliance in Dhaka-11 constituency, was successfully completed with a huge crowd. The rally, organized at the Badda DIT Project playground in the capital on Saturday (February 8, 2026), turned into an ocean of people.

Since the morning, ordinary people, supporters and activists from different areas of Rampura, Badda and Bhatara started gathering in groups at the field. There was a festive atmosphere throughout the field. The slogan of Shapla Kali could be heard in everyone’s voice, expressing a strong conviction of victory.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the rally. In his speech, he announced that the leadership and responsibility for building the future Bangladesh would be handed over to the young generation. At the same time, he called for the establishment of a just and fair society.

The public meeting was presided over by Md. Nahid Islam, convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and candidate of the eleven-party alliance for Dhaka-11 constituency. In his speech, he reiterated his commitment to the overall development of Dhaka-11 constituency, establishment of citizen rights, ensuring good governance and building a dignified future for the young generation. He said that establishing accountable and welfare-oriented politics to fulfill the expectations of the people will be his top priority.

Ameer of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Maulana Mamunul Haque and spokesperson of the National Citizens Party Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan were present as special guests.

The program was moderated by the election director of Dhaka-11 constituency Maulana Md. Qutub Uddin and Nahid Islam’s chief election agent Mujahidul Islam Shahin.

Also present at the public meeting were Advocate Atiqur Rahman, member of the Central Majlishe Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, and leaders of various levels of the eleven-party alliance.
