Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Mahfuz Alam said that the media must take a strong stand against rumors and misinformation. At the same time, people’s distrust in the media must be removed.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a training workshop on ‘Prevention of Media Misreporting and Providing Objective News’ at the Bangladesh Press Council today (November 24, 2025) with the participation of members of Dhaka Reporters Unity. Bangladesh Press Council organized this workshop.
Under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Press Council Chairman Justice A. K. M. Abdul Hakim, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahbuba Farzana spoke as a special guest at the training workshop.
