Mathurapara Bashirkazi High School Alumni Association provides financial assistance to poor, needy and meritorious students from their welfare fund

A unique and humanitarian program was held at Mathurapara Bashirkazi High School, a traditional educational institution in Sariakandi Upazila of Bogra district, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Financial assistance was provided to poor, needy and meritorious students of the school on the initiative of the “Mathurapara Bashirkazi High School Alumni Association” formed in 2020 and with the funding of the welfare fund.

The program was presided over by the Honorable President of the Alumni Association, Agriculturist Md. Mozaffar Rahman.

Mr. Kazi Erfanur Rahman Rentu, one of the members of the founding family of the school, a renowned alumnus, prominent businessman and social worker, was present as the chief guest.

The school’s Honorable Headmaster Mr. Kazi Tofail Ahmed and Alumni Association General Secretary Md. Shahidul Islam were present as special guests. Joint General Secretary AHM Mofizul Islam Belal.

Also present at the event were:

  • Mr. Abed Maula Bahlul Tipu – Meritorious Student of 1979 Batch and Senior Manager (Research and Development), Jiska Pharmaceuticals, Dhaka
  • Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain – Meritorious Student of 1979 Batch and Senior Research Scientist, Boston University, USA
  • Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam Diju – Organizing Secretary, Alumni Association and Director, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden
  • Industrialist Mr. Badiuzzaman.

Under this welfare program, financial grants were distributed among students studying in various classes of various public and private universities, medical colleges and schools in the country.

The event was a lively and successful event with the presence of the Alumni Association Executive Committee members, former students of the school and Sudheejan.

This great initiative is a shining example of the Alumni Association’s sense of responsibility and social commitment towards the students. It is not only a humanitarian hand to stand by the students, but will also encourage future generations to participate in similar programs.
