Maldives National Day was celebrated with due dignity in Dhaka. On this occasion, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the Maldives High Commission in Dhaka on Friday (14 August 2026).
Maldivian High Commissioner in Dhaka, Shiuneen Rasheed, started the formalities of the day by hoisting the national flag.
Warmly greetings to the people of Maldives on the occasion of the National Day, the High Commission said that the day is being observed by celebrating the spirit of patriotism, unity and determination that has taken the country forward for generations.
