Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon has said that Kushtia Islamic University will be developed as a Center of Excellence.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the ‘Best Institution and Unique Students Award Ceremony 2026’ organized by Islamic Arabic University at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka on Tuesday (June 30, 2026).
The minister said, we want Kushtia Islamic University to develop into an internationally well-known institution. We are working towards that goal. He said, we give more importance to the Islamic education system, because it teaches ethics and morality. And that is real education. But due to lack of sufficient teachers, teachers on Islam cannot be appointed in various educational institutions. Therefore, the syllabus and curriculum should be prepared in such a way that sufficient teachers on Islam are available. The minister instructed the Islamic Arabic University authorities to take initiatives in this regard.
The Education Minister said, if the people of the country are devoid of morality, the country will go towards destruction. It is not very important who passed from which university and became a government official. Rather, it is more important how many honest officials we have. Therefore, Islamic education must be expanded to improve people’s morality.
The program was presided over by Islamic Arabic University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abu Zafar Khan, and Education Secretary Abdul Khaleq and Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel were present as special guests.
Awards were given to 100 best institutions and 147 students who obtained A+ in Fazil and Kamil levels in 2023 and 2024.
