Japanese Embassy Expresses Deepest Condolences to Victims of Milestone School Plane Crash

The Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh has expressed its deep shock and condolences over the tragic accident that occurred when a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed on the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, the capital.

In a condolence message, the Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires Naoki Takahashi said, “We express our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to those who lost their lives and were injured as a result of a Bangladesh Air Force plane crash on the premises of Milestone School and College in Uttara. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, friends and all those injured in this accident.”

He further mentioned, “Milestone School and College is a special place for us, as this educational institution recently participated in the first ‘Peace Flower’ essay competition organized with the support of JICA. We have developed a special bond with this institution and its students.”

The Embassy of Japan reiterated its commitment to stand by Bangladesh during this difficult time, saying, “We commend the prompt action and responsible role of the relevant authorities of the Bangladesh government, hospitals, and rescue workers during this challenging time. We hope that the injured will recover soon.”
