The concerns surrounding the holding of a referendum on the day of the national election remain, said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Golam Parwar, in his speech.
In a briefing at the central office in Moghbazar in the capital on Thursday (November 13), he said that if a referendum is held on the day of the national election, and the ballot voting is stopped due to any disturbance, then the explanation about what will happen to the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ votes of the referendum is not clear.
The Jamaat leader commented that the speech also did not give a clear idea about how the referendum and the national election ballot will be.
