Expressing deep condolences on the martyrdom of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and uncompromising July fighter Sharif Osman Hadi, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman issued a condolence statement today, December 18.
In his condolence statement, he said, “Sharif Osman Hadi was a brave July warrior and a true patriot. He never bowed his head to injustice. His voice was against all hegemonic forces and injustice. He was an uncompromising warrior. No greed or lust in the world could touch him.
He also said, Osman Hadi dreamed of building a humane new Bangladesh. His role in the movement to establish a society based on justice, truth and fairness was very important. In his martyrdom, the nation lost a fearless voice and an idealistic warrior. The void created by his martyrdom cannot be easily filled. The new generation must embrace his strong voice and come forward to realize his dream regardless of party or opinion. The nation will remember his contribution with respect.
I pray to the Almighty God for forgiveness and martyrdom for his soul. His wife, along with his innocent children, are mourning “I extend my deepest condolences to the family, comrades and well-wishers. I also pray that Allah Almighty will grant them all the strength to bear this great loss.”
