India has left the decision on whether Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will go to Delhi to attend the BRICS summit to the Bangladesh government. However, the country is eagerly waiting to welcome Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to India, said Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi.
He said this while talking to reporters after a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday (July 29, 2026) afternoon.
This was High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi’s first formal meeting with the Foreign Minister and the Minister of State after assuming office.
