At a program organized at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Thursday to mark the ‘Great May Day and National Occupational Health and Safety Day 2025’, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, emphasized on protecting the interests of workers and said, “It is not possible to build a new Bangladesh by leaving the workers in the previous state.”

In his speech as the chief guest at the program, Dr. Yunus said that the government’s priority is to quickly implement the recommendations of the Labor Reform Commission. He said, “Our first task is to start the journey with immediate actions according to the recommendations of the Labor Reform Commission. After that, each recommendation must be followed to the letter.”
