Gazipur Metropolitan Police Coordination Meeting Held to Ensure Fair Elections

A coordination meeting was held at the initiative of Gazipur Metropolitan Police to ensure that the upcoming 13th National Parliament Elections are free, fair and peaceful.

The meeting was held at the meeting room of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) headquarters on Wednesday (February 04, 2026). The meeting was presided over by Mr. Md. Israel Howlader, Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

In the meeting, the Police Commissioner gave important directions on the upcoming National Parliament Elections, including overall security measures, control of law and order situation, security of polling stations, identification of risky areas and other matters to be done during the elections. He said that the main responsibility of the police is to organize elections in a peaceful environment by ensuring the safety of voters.

At that time, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations), Deputy Police Commissioners, officers of various units of GMP and Officer-in-Charge of all police stations of Gazipur Metropolitan were present in the meeting.

The meeting emphasized on strengthening mutual coordination during the election period, rapid exchange of information and preparation to deal with any unwanted situation.

It was reiterated in the meeting that Gazipur Metropolitan Police is always committed to performing its duties with professionalism and impartiality to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections.
