In the context of a recent incident, French Ambassador Mr. Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet and German Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Ms. Anja Kersten visited the offices of Prothom Alo and The Daily Star, two of the country’s leading media outlets, in Dhaka on Tuesday (December 23, 2025).
During the visit, they expressed concern about the incident and expressed solidarity with the working journalists. At the same time, they reiterated their strong and unwavering support for press freedom, the safety of journalists, and freedom of expression on the part of France and Germany.
