The Foreign Service Academy (FSA) organized a seminar on Thursday (17 October, 2024) titled “Defence Policy of Bangladesh in the Context of Changing Global Geopolitics: Present and Future Perspectives.”
The keynote speech was delivered by Major General Mohammad Maksudur Rahman, OSP, BSP, psc (Retd.), former Director General of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). Mr. Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, ndc, Director General of FSA, Mr. Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Dr. Rashed Uz Zaman, Professor of the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka intervened in the seminar as distinguished panelists. Ms. Shahnaz Gazi, Director General, FSA delivered the opening remarks.
The seminar was chaired and moderated by the Rector, FSA, Ambassador Mashfee Binte Shams. Ambassador A. F. M. Gousal Azam Sarker, Chairman, BIISS, graced the event as chief guest.
The seminar was attended by the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the trainee officers of the ongoing 2nd SDTC and PMIRD course of FSA.
