Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain has called for an immediate and complete ceasefire to protect the Palestinian people from genocide and the most brutal atrocities.
He made this call while addressing the international conference on a peaceful solution to the Palestinian crisis organized at the United Nations Headquarters on Tuesday (July 29, 2025).
This information was given in a press release sent by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York.
The Foreign Affairs Adviser said that Israel has continued its genocide by killing more than 58,000 Palestinians so far.
He called for bringing to justice all those responsible for crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.
The Foreign Affairs Advisor reiterated Bangladesh’s continued support for an independent Palestinian state and called on the international community, including the United Nations, to play an effective role in implementing a two-state solution with Israel and Palestine as the only path to lasting peace in the Middle East, with the aim of peaceful coexistence.
Welcoming the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, the Foreign Affairs Advisor said Bangladesh is ready to participate in the reconstruction process of Gaza under the leadership of the United Nations.
He called for all-out resistance to any attempt to obstruct the UN’s relief distribution activities in Gaza.
