On the sidelines of the ‘Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025’ Hon’ble Foreign Adviser, H.E. Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain had a meeting with the Secretary General of ‘Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA)’, H.E. Mr. Kairat Sarybay on Friday (11 April 2025). Hon’ble Adviser for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, H.E. Mr. Md. Mahfuj Alam, Bangladesh Ambassador to Türkiye and other senior officials from both the sides attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed all aspects of engagements between Bangladesh and CICA was discussed. The Secretary General appreciated the contributions of Bangladesh towards the CICA and its active role towards the implementation of CICA’s confidence building measures. Hon’ble Foreign Adviser lauded the role of Secretary General in converting CICA into a full-fledged regional international organization. He proposed to enhance interaction of CICA with the sectoral officials of Bangladesh as it is a very important tool for strengthening the existing relations.
The meeting was held in a very cordial manner and at the end both the leaders agreed to further enhance the level of existing engagements and to explore for the newer avenues of cooperation in the coming days.
