FBCCI, IBFB to work together on sector-based research

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB) will work together on sector-based research of industries, including identifying business, trade and investment opportunities and challenges.

An MoU was signed between FBCCI and IBFB in this regard on Wednesday (May 21, 2025) afternoon in Motijheel, the capital. The MoU was signed by FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman and IBFB President Lutfunnisa Saudia Khan on behalf of their respective organizations.

According to the agreement, both parties will provide each other with information, data and other technical assistance in preparing research and reports.

FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman expressed hope that this initiative will play an important role in providing the private sector with the right idea and direction about the trends of the economy.

IBFB President Lutfunnisa Saudia Khan said that there are many promising industries and many challenges in different industries beyond ready-made garments in the country. Through this agreement, a space will be created to work on the potential and challenges of unconventional sectors.

FBCCI Secretary General Md. Alamgir, Head of International Affairs Wing Md. Zafar Iqbal ndc, IBFB Executive Director S.M. Selim Reza and others were also present at the agreement signing ceremony.
