FBCCI Board of Directors Election to be held on September 7

The Board of Directors Election of the country’s top trade organization, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), will be held on September 7. On this day, the President, Senior Vice President, Vice President and Director of FBCCI will be elected for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 terms through the participation of all voters.

The FBCCI Election Board released the schedule for the FBCCI Board of Directors Election (2025-2026 and 2026-2027) on Wednesday (June 18, 2025).

It is to be noted that the FBCCI Board of Directors Election will be conducted following the Trade Organizations Act 2022 and the latest Trade Organizations Rules 2025. In the said rules, the size of the FBCCI Board of Directors has been reduced from 80 to 46 members. Among them, there will be one President, one Senior Vice President and two Vice Presidents.

As per the election schedule, all member chambers and associations will have to send the list of nominated representatives for the FBCCI General Assembly by 5 pm on July 2.

The preliminary voter list for the FBCCI Board of Directors election will be published on July 18, 2025. The final voter list will be published on July 26.

The preliminary list of candidates for the posts of President, Senior Vice President, Vice President and Director will be published on August 8. After verification, selection and analysis of the information, the Election Board will publish the final list of candidates for these posts on August 14.

If any candidate wants to withdraw his/her candidacy, he/she must inform the Election Board about this by 2 pm on August 16, 2025. The Election Board will publish the final list of candidates for the FBCCI Board of Directors election on the same day.
