Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said that it is the sacred responsibility of the government to properly evaluate, rehabilitate and stand by the families of the martyrs and injured in the July Uprising. He said that the government is working to ensure the highest honor, state recognition, improvement of living standards, complete rehabilitation and necessary assistance to commemorate the sacrifices of the July martyrs and the contributions of the injured.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the ‘July National Conference-2026’ organized in memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, the capital, on Saturday (July 4, 2026).

The Prime Minister said, “I have said at the outset that the state and the country will evaluate your sacrifices with all its might. At the same time, those responsible for the injustice in the way your loved ones were killed must be tried according to the laws of this country.”

He also said that the trial of the killers of the July martyrs will be completed on Bangladeshi soil and justice will be ensured in the trial process. At the same time, he called on political parties and people from all walks of life to be aware that just as the dictatorship has done injustice to people, everyone should be aware that injustice should not be done to anyone in the name of justice.

A memorial was handed over to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on behalf of the martyr’s family at the event.

Asaduzzaman, Housing Minister Zakaria Taher, Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan, State Minister Ishraq Hossain, Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib, Private University Chhatra Dal President Abu Huraira, Qawmi Chhatra Forum President Maulana Jamil Siddiqui, President of the organizing organization ‘Amra July Joddha’ Aminul Islam Emon, General Secretary Al Miraj, July-24 Shaheed Family Society President Golam Rahman and General Secretary Rabiul Awal.
Family members of the martyrs of the July Uprising recited their memories at the event. Shaheed Abu Sayeed’s brother Abu Hossain, Shaheed Shahriar Hossain Alvi’s father Abul Hossain, Shaheed Abdullah bin Zahid’s mother Fatematuzzohra, Shaheed Wasim Akram’s father Shafiul Alam and Shaheed Miraj Hossain’s father Abdur Rab Mia from Jatrabari spoke.
In addition, Shahin Malu, Sujan Molla, Millat Hossain, Al-Amin and Mehdi Hasan Miraj, who were injured in the July Uprising, shared their experiences.
Politicians, members of parliament, ambassadors and high commissioners of various countries, senior military and civilian officials, members of the martyr’s family and July fighters were present at the July National Conference.
