The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has nominated Dr. MA Qayyum for Dhaka-11 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. The party announced him as its candidate for this constituency consisting of Rampura, Badda, Bhatara and Hatirjheel (partial).
In a reaction after receiving the nomination, Dr. MA Qayyum expressed deep gratitude to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and members of the party’s standing committee.
Dr. MA Qayyum is currently serving as BNP’s Microfinance Affairs Secretary. He said, “I pledge to work with utmost sincerity to restore the rights and democracy of the people of Dhaka-11 constituency.”
It is reported that enthusiasm has been generated among local party workers and supporters surrounding the BNP nomination.
