Dr. M A Quayum pledges to build a drug-free, extortion-free and terrorism-free Dhaka-11 for the development of society

Dr. M A Quayum, the candidate for Dhaka-11 nominated by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has expressed his determination to create a drug-free, extortion-free and terrorism-free environment to ensure the sustainable development of the society.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a prayer meeting organized by the residents of Rampura Moulvirtek in the capital on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Former founding president of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP, Dr. M A Quayum said that the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina is still involved in conspiring to thwart the upcoming national elections. He said that the people of the country should be extremely vigilant in this regard and keep their eyes and ears open and monitor the situation.

Dr. M A Quayum said that there is no alternative to religious knowledge and moral education to build a beautiful, just and humane society. He said, “Religion teaches people to follow the righteous path and gives them the courage to stand against injustice. Religious education and moral values must be given importance to build the Bangladesh of the future.”

Highlighting the plans for the future, the leader of the people and the people of Dhaka-11 constituency, Dr. M A Quayum, said that making Dhaka-11 constituency free of drugs and terrorism is his main priority. He said that drugs and terrorism have been disrupting the normal life of people in this area for a long time. If everyone can build resistance together, Dhaka-11 will be a safe, peaceful and livable area.

He also said that in the past, the people’s voting rights were taken away. The common people could not go to the polling stations without any hindrance. BNP wants a free, fair and impartial election, where people can freely vote and elect the candidate of their choice.

Dr. M A Quayum said that it is possible to restore democracy and establish human rights only through voting. To this end, he called on people of all classes and professions, regardless of party or opinion, to unite and build a beautiful society.
