A coordination meeting was held on the security and traffic control of various events to be held in Dhaka Metropolitan Area on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432 and Pahela Boishakh celebrations.
The coordination meeting was held on Wednesday (9 April 2025) morning at the conference room of DMP Headquarters. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali, ndc, presided over the meeting.

In his speech as the chairman, the DMP Commissioner said that Pahela Boishakh is the festival of Bengalis’ lives. Like every year, various organizations will celebrate Pahela Boishakh at different places in Dhaka Metropolitan Area. Dhaka Metropolitan Police has planned to take comprehensive security measures to celebrate Pahela Boishakh in a joyful and festive atmosphere and safely.
The coordination meeting was attended by representatives of various intelligence agencies including the Proctor of Dhaka University, representatives of various specialized units of the police, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the Department of Health, Dhaka South and North City Corporations, Fire Service and Civil Defense, DPDC, WASA, Public Works, Bangla Academy, Faculty of Fine Arts of DU, Sammilit Sangskritik Jote of TSC, Chhayanaut, Rishi Shilpagosti, Shakyamuni Buddhist Vihara and representatives of various government and private service providers.
At the beginning of the coordination meeting, DMP Joint Police Commissioner (Operations) Mohammad Shahidullah, PPM presented the overall security plan through a power point presentation. After that, representatives of various agencies present in the meeting participated in an open discussion and expressed their valuable opinions.

Rezaul Karim; Joint Police Commissioners, Deputy Police Commissioners, police officers of various ranks and representatives of various concerned organizations were present.
