Discussion meeting held on Back to Back LC of non-bonded warehouses at BGMEA

A meeting was held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, to address the challenges faced by non-bonded warehouse businesses in opening back-to-back Letters of Credit (LCs) when sourcing raw materials from the local market without a bonded license.

The meeting was chaired by BGMEA Administrator Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain. Committee members Mr. Md. Shihabuddoza Chowdhury and Mr. Asif Ashraf were also present. Owners of BGMEA-affiliated enterprises, who are directly impacted by this issue, actively participated in the discussion.

The meeting focused on identifying key obstacles and exploring actionable solutions to streamline the process for non-bonded warehouses, ensuring smoother operations and compliance within the local market.
