On Wednesday (26th February 2025) a delegation led by Mr. Alexey Likhachev, Director General (DG) of Rosatom, the Russian state-owned enterprise responsible for the implementation of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff at the Army Headquarters.
In addition to exchange of greetings, they discussed various aspects of the ongoing Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project. In the meeting, DG Rosatom has extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Bangladesh Army for maintaining a high state of security at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project.
Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the importance of joint efforts for the timely implementation of the project. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh, H.E. Mr Alexander G. Khozin was also present at the meeting.
