Diplomatic Briefing Held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Bangladesh’s Apostille and E-Attestation Programme

A briefing session regarding Bangladesh’s Apostille and E-Attestation Programme was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka On Wednesday (30 April, 2025), aimed at informing and engaging the resident diplomatic missions in the country. A number of foreign diplomats based in Dhaka attended the event, reflecting the importance of the initiative for international cooperation.

The session was conducted by Mr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Monsur, Director General of the Consular and Welfare Wing of the Ministry, who outlined the objectives and procedures of the new programme. He also addressed a number of relevant queries made by the participating diplomats.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Protocol Mr. A.F.M. Zahid-Ul-Islam and Director General (Administration) Mr. Shah Asif Rahman also shared insights and emphasized the government’s commitment to easing the process of document authentication.

Representatives from the Agency to Innovate (A2I) programme, responsible for the implementation of the initiative, participated and provided valuable input on the technical aspects of the system.

Overall, the briefing highlights Bangladesh’s efforts to modernize and streamline the authentication process, facilitating smoother international recognition and mobility for individuals and organizations.
