Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Textiles and Jute, Sheikh Bashiruddin, will now also hold the charge of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Division today, Tuesday (April 15).

Earlier, the two posts fell vacant due to the death of A.F. Hasan Arif, the advisor in charge of the Ministry of Lands and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. Since then, the Chief Advisor has temporarily held the charge of the Ministry of Aviation and Tourism.
With the new responsibility, Sheikh Bashiruddin is now in charge of three important ministries – Commerce, Textiles and Jute, and Civil Aviation and Tourism. It is expected that his experience will play an important role in the development of the tourism sector in addition to the government’s economic and international trade-related activities.
On the other hand, the Cabinet Division, the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces Division, the Ministry of Public Administration, and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology now come under the Chief Advisor.
