Circular issued banning use of Prime Minister’s photo in government events

Desk Report:

The use of the Prime Minister’s photo (in 3D or any other form) in banners, festoons and billboards prepared for any government event has been completely banned.

The General Directorate of the Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard today (July 5, 2026).

The circular further states that in preparing banners, festoons and billboards for government events, the content of the event should be prioritized and necessary and consistent information should be presented. The design of banners, festoons and billboards should be made in such a way that the purpose, message and content of the event are clearly reflected.

The matter is of utmost importance and the circular will come into effect immediately.
