Chief Advisor expresses condolences over plane crash in India

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, has expressed deep grief over the plane crash in Ahmedabad, India.

In a condolence message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (June 12, 2025), he wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic news of the crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers in Ahmedabad. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragic incident.”

The Chief Advisor said, “In this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the accident and their loved ones. We stand with the people and government of India. We are ready to provide all kinds of assistance if needed.
