Chief Adviser Attends Pope’s Funeral

Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, attended the funeral of Pope Francis in Vatican City on Saturday (April 26, 2025).

The funeral of Pope Francis, who died at the age of 88 on Monday (April 21, 2025), began today in St. Peter’s Square.

Several world leaders and dignitaries, including US President Donald Trump and Prince William, attended the funeral in St. Peter’s Square.

Professor Yunus took his seat among the world’s top leaders and dignitaries.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni, among other European leaders, are attending the funeral.
