Chatra Dal announces 10-point manifesto for DUCSU elections

Ahead of the Dhaka University (DU) Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections, a 10-point manifesto has been announced by the Bangladesh Nationalist Chatra Dal-backed panel.

The panel’s Vice President (VP) candidate Abidul Islam Khan announced the points of the manifesto at a press conference at DU’s Battala on Thursday (August 28) afternoon.

The 10-point manifesto given by the Chhatra Dal panel includes-

(1) Building a modern, enjoyable, livable, and safe campus by prioritizing education and research.

(2) Safe campus for female students, women’s health protection, and capacity building.

(3) Ensuring quality healthcare and health insurance for students and making it easier for students with special needs to receive education and travel.

(4) Modernizing the curriculum, infrastructure, and examination system and improving the quality of research.

(5) Control of transportation system, introduction of battery-powered shuttle service and ease of transportation.

(6) Harassment-free administrative services, education loans and campus-based employment arrangements.

(7) Involvement of youth in constructive work and increase in sports and cultural activities.

(8) Digital facilities for students, cyber security and prevention of cyber bullying.

(9) Waste management, environmental conservation, greening and creation of animal-friendly campuses.

(10) Effective DUCSU and increasing involvement of Dhaka University in the international arena.
