Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that candidates of 11-party alliance are ahead in the ongoing elections. If the government is formed, the country will be governed by all political parties.
He said these things at a press conference organized in the capital on Thursday (February 12) evening.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “The counting of the vote results has not been completely completed yet. Making any final comments now will not be fair to the voters. The results will be published gradually.”
He also said that if given responsibility on behalf of the nation, Jamaat-e-Islami will work for the welfare of the country and the people. He emphasized on establishing national unity through the formation of a participatory and integrated government.
Party leaders and activists were present at the press conference.
