BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman has sent a greetings message to all Bangladeshis at home and abroad on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432. He expressed his sincere wishes for peace, welfare and progress of the countrymen on this festive day of the New Year.
He said in his message-
“Today is Pahela Baishakh 1432, the celebration of the New Year, an important part of the history and tradition of the Bangladeshi nation. Bengali New Year is its unique manifestation in the hearts of Bangladeshis. I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all Bangladeshis at home and abroad on this festive day.
Pahela Baishakh has been recurring in the life of the nation for a long time with various forms and variations. The combination of nature and life that is filled with the New Year festival has existed for a long time. The past glory and opulence of our nation are transmitted in our hearts. The greatness that has been built up since the distant past has gained a solid foundation. The words of tradition, culture and humanity come together to form a well-written nation. Pahela Baishakh is a bright element in the identity of the nation. Every year, the New Year inspires us to move forward on the path of excellence and progress in the glow of the light behind. Now, the people’s liberal vision to establish our vibrant democracy On the basis of culture, tradition and tendency, a permanent structure of a democratic system of pluralism and path must be built.
After witnessing various incidents and accidents in 1431, we have arrived at the border of unknown time-space at the dawn of 1432. Various places in the world are being flooded with blood-explosions. It will not be possible to bring peace to the world by remaining in a puzzle without a solution. Interest is never a solution. If we want a selfless solution, blood will not be shed, we will not have to wait for peace. We have to overcome the fatigue, disappointment and sadness of the last year and move forward with new enthusiasm. Bengali year-date is an indispensable part of our daily life, daily economic activities, therefore it is an integral part of national culture, a source of mental shelter and meditation of the learned. In order to break the close bond of language and culture that has been formed since ancient times, foreign hegemonic masters are moving forward with a grand plan to spread cultural dominance. We must also be aware of this and always be vigilant.
On the first day of the New Year, I wish everyone well-being and peace. May the warmth of Boishakh erase untruth, injustice, lawlessness and unrest from society. May the fresh breeze of peace flow all around, the river of Sushila, and the whole world be filled with nectar.
On the first light of the new dawn of the 1432 Bengali year, I once again extend my greetings and congratulations to the countrymen. Happy New Year.”
