Workshop on installation of industrial rooftop solar system held at Inter Continental, Dhaka on Monday (11 November, 2024). BKMEA and IDCOL jointly arranged the program on the prospect of rooftop solar project.
Focusing on financial and technical benefits of rooftop solar project including the net meter facilities various topics have been discussed by the guest and spokes persons at the event.
Adviser of the ministry of power and energy Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan was present as the chief guest at the program.

BKMEA president Mohammad Hatem was the special guest along with the country director of world bank Mr. Abdoulaye Seck, Stephanie Reiger, head of division energy, south asia.
BKMEA president urged the industrialists to realise the benefit and the importance of the solar energy for the future generation. Highlighting the reduction of carbon emission he urged the government to facilitate the import process for the installation of solar system.

BKMEA have more than 2500 member factories. It is a significant number to implement the solar project in the RMG industry. That’s why BKMEA is playing a viable role with IDCOL in such an aspect.
There is an open discussion session. Many factory owners and entrepreneurs asked questions on the installation of the solar panel. BKMEA executive president Fazlee Shamim EHSAN discussed and answered along with the IDCOL representatives. BKMEA director Imran Kader Turjo was also present at that time.
