BIDA’s Role in Investment Facilitation, Job Creation, and Service Delivery Discussed with Senior Officials

Today, April 29, 2025, a discussion session was held at the Conference Room (3rd Floor) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) as part of the 26th Policy Planning and Management Course of the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), with participation from Additional Secretary-level officers currently undergoing training.

The session was titled “Bangladesh Investment Development Authority’s (BIDA) Role on Interconnected Government, Job Creation & Improved Service Delivery”, and was presided over by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman (State Minister) of BIDA, Mr. Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun.

During the session, Mr. Shah Mohammad Mahboob, Executive Member (Additional Secretary) of BIDA, provided a comprehensive overview of BIDA’s mandates and activities. Additionally, Mr. Abu Mohammad Nurul Hayat Totul, Deputy Director, delivered a visual presentation highlighting BIDA’s operational strategies and future plans.

The Hon’ble Executive Chairman actively engaged in an interactive discussion with the trainee officials (Additional Secretary-level officers), emphasizing BIDA’s pivotal role in investment facilitation and service delivery. Secretary BIDA, Mr. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman (Additional Secretary), and Dr. Khandoker Azizul Islam, Executive Member (Additional Secretary), were also present at the session.
