BIDA Chairman calls for further strengthening of bilateral trade and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Singapore

The Singapore High Commission in Bangladesh has organized a colorful diplomatic program in Dhaka to celebrate Singapore’s 60th National Day.

The program, organized at the ‘Sheraton Dhaka’ in the capital on Sunday (14 September 2025) evening, was presided over by Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner in Dhaka Derek Loh and Charge d’Affaires Mitchell Lee.

Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), was present as the chief guest at the program. In his speech, he called for further strengthening of bilateral trade and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Singapore.

Bangladesh Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman also attended the program.

Ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats, politicians, retired military officers, high-ranking government officials, and prominent figures from civil society were present at the event.
